In early January, Theory of a Deadman added Jefferson Community College to the band’s spring tour schedule, which includes dates in Europe and a special performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The hard-rocking trio from Vancouver has released three albums since 2002, including the most recent, Scars & Souvenirs, in 2008. In October of 2009, the band released a special edition of Scars & Souvenirs featuring acoustic and unreleased tracks, the band’s entire video catalog, and numerous making-of and behind-the-scenes videos shot while producing the album.

North Country favorite Lake Effect Mud will open for Theory of a Deadman. Lake Effect Mud, formed by childhood friends in 1996, has recorded two CDs and has a third scheduled for release in 2010. Their self-titled debut CD was recorded in Carthage in 1999, followed by Externalfixation in 2002. Over the years Lake Effect Mud has opened for many nationally-known bands and kicked off their 2010 schedule with two dates over New Year’s Eve at the Smokin’ Hot Aces Nightclub in the Venetian on the Las Vegas strip.

The Theory of a Deadman concert at JCC is sponsored by AmeriCU Credit Union and JCC Student Activities with promotional sponsorship provided by The Border 106.7, 94 Rock WOTT, and Tunes 92.5.
