Super Science Saturday for Kids at JCC Feb. 6
Look no further for something educational and fun to do with the kids on a winter Saturday! The Science Division at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will host Super Science Saturday (SSS) on February 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Super Science Saturday is a celebration of math and science and an exploration of science careers with demonstrations designed for kids in 5th through 8th grades, although family members of all ages are welcome to attend. Admission is free.
JCC faculty, assisted by current students, will give demonstrations in animal management, chemistry, biology, geology, math, engineering, and health-related careers. Students will have the opportunity to explore and see how much fun science can be by participating in hands-on demonstrations and attending the chemistry magic show presented by James Peploski of Clarkson University. Those who complete exhibit activities will be eligible for prizes. Additionally, several community organizations will be on hand to share career information with students.
SSS will take place at JCC in the Jules Center, McVean Student Center, and the Guthrie Science Building. Concessions, parking, a campus map, and programs will be available at the event.
