General Issues

Three login attempts will disable your account

If you attempt to login three times unsuccessfully, your account will be disabled. If your account locks, contact the Student Help Desk at 315-786-6511, toll-free at 888-435-6522 (ask for IT) or Registrar's Office at 315-786-2308. Business hours are 9-5 Monday - Friday.

Forgot your "J" Number?

If you do not remember your "J" Number, use your social security number to login or contact the Student Help Desk at 315-786-6511, toll-free at 888-435-6522 (ask for IT) or Registrar's Office at 315-786-2308. Business hours are 9-5 Monday - Friday.

Cookies must be enabled in your Internet browser.

In Mozilla Firefox, choose Tools, Options. On the Privacy tab, click the box next to Accept Cookies (there should be a check in the box), click OK.

In Internet Explorer 5, choose Tools, Internet Options. On the Privacy tab, make sure the Settings are at most set to Medium.

Java must be enable in your Internet browser.

In Mozilla Firefox, choose Tools, Options. On the Content tab, click in the boxes next to Enable Java and Enable Javascript (there should be checks in each box).

In Internet Explorer 5, choose Tools, Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll down and click in the box next to Java (there should be a check in the box). Click OK.

 

AOL Users

If you are using AOL as an Internet Service Provider (ISP), you will not be able to use the AOL browser when accessing SOAR. After establishing your modem connection, please minimize the AOL browser and use either Mozilla Firefox, Netscape or Internet Explorer to access SOAR. If you have any pro blems, please contact the HelpDesk at (315)786-6511.

 

Military Users

If you are attempting to use SOAR from a Military installation, please check the times that SOAR is available and try accessing it during its regular hours of operation (7:00 am to 8:00 pm EST Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday).

You still may not be able to log in due to Internet security measures set up at your installation. If you have access to the Internet through an Internet Service Provider (ISP), please try logging in through your ISP. If you do not have alternate access, please contact IT at your installation and see if they can help you.
