 Jefferson Community College can help link you to a career in chemistry through its Associate in Science Mathematics & Sciences-Science Concentration.  With course work in biology, chemistry, mathematics and liberal arts, this degree will prepare students to transfer to a four year institution to continue study in this field.  Chemists have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of careers in research, allied health, pharmaceutical and laboratory settings.  Transfer opportunities exist at a wide variety of SUNY campuses and at private colleges and universities, such as St. Lawrence University, LeMoyne College, Clarkson University, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Binghamton, University of Buffalo, Upstate Medical Center, SUNY Albany, and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.  Students should work closely with their faculty advisor and transfer counselor when considering their further educational plans.
