Conner M. DeLavergne of Plattsburgh is the featured Jefferson Community College (JCC) Honors Program student for the month of September 2026. DeLavergne is a humanities and social sciences major whose career goal is to become a special education teacher. For one of his Honors Program projects, he researched ancient artwork and its impact on ancient cultures and beliefs.

This annual event is open to anyone thinking about attending college and furthering their education. Admission is free.

The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College (JCC) completed a public opinion and behavior survey research study of childcare issues in the region. The opinions, choices, costs, importances, needs, satisfactions, preferences, and employment and economic impacts upon these groups have been studied and analyzed. Jefferson Community College (JCC) held its annual Pinning Ceremony for graduates of the College's nursing program on May 14, 20265, in the McVean Student Center Gymnasium. Fifty-four (54) candidates for the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in nursing were eligible to take part in this special program.
