  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 41% exceeding its climate action goal five years early! This is according to the 2019 American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) report.

  • Jefferson Community College is pleased to announce that Cara D. Aguirre, Theresa, and Rebekah E. Widrick, Lowville, have been named to the All-New York Academic Team for Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges.

  • Jefferson Community College will hold its fifty-sixth annual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. virtually on the College's website at www.sunyjefferson.edu. 333 degrees will be awarded to 323 students with ten students receiving more than one degree and/or certificate.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold its 56th annual Spring Commencement Ceremony virtually on Friday, May 15, 2020. The virtual ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the College's website at www.sunyjefferson.edu. Approximately 323 students are candidates for May and August 2020 graduation with ten students receiving two degrees and/or certificates.

  • In honor of National Veterans and Military Families month, Jefferson Community College (JCC) Veterans Services and athletics will host Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 during the JCC men and women's basketball games versus Mohawk Valley Community College. Military Appreciation Night is one component of Veterans Appreciation Week November 11-15, 2019.

  • On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, the Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College (JCC) was granted membership into the Transparency Initiative of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR). The Center for Community Studies is the only SUNY college or university and the only U.S. two-year college in this select AAPOR group.

  • Jefferson Community College (JCC) supports Cornell Cooperative's Adopting Healthy Habits initiative and encourages faculty, staff, students and visitors to increase their daily activity and park their cars farther away from buildings.
